Garrycastle Ladies GAA is a club dedicated to Ladies Gaelic Football and is located on the outskirts of Athlone, County Westmeath, It shares football pitches and facilities with Garrycastle GAA Club see Garrycastle GAA

The club caters for girls from the local area who wish to play Ladies Gaelic Football at U10, U12, U14, U16, U18 (minor) and Senior level in the County of Westmeath.

Ladies Gaelic football is a variant of Gaelic Football with a lesser degree of physical contact than the male version. There are also some minor changes in playing rules but there are many similarities. Ladies Gaelic is run by the LGFA.

From its foundation in 1995 Garrycastle Ladies Gaa Club has put an emphasis on skill coaching young players and provides a high standard of organisation and coaching competence in a safe environment where all coaches are trained and have undergone Garda Vetting. The Club has been very successful at coaching young players at the club to achieve their potential and progressing to play at the highest available level.

The Club also gives an equal importance to building a sense of community and works hard to ensure that there is a strong social focus to its activities.

The club works in parallel with Garrycastle GAA to provide Gaelic Football for all families who are members of the clubs.

The club would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to its website and encourage you to contact any of the Club Executive if you require further information or are interested in joining or have children who would like to start playing Gaelic Football.
